Season Reflection 2008

Greetings!!
Though the foreboding ride home did grow tiresome, it indeed yielded some time for me to reflect on this Christmas season. I am never truly surprised at the amazing things our God has for us, but I must admit sometimes it pleasantly catches me off guard. I knew it would be a happy time with family and friends, but I am tremendously thankful and aware of expectations that far exceeded my simple plan. From visits with our grandparents who are definitely feeling the test of time, to old friends we have watched blossom in the ways of Christ, I am so very sobered. Grandpa Adair, we love you so much, and we are so thankful for your service to our country, and so very thankful for the gift of your grandson, our Patriarch, Steve. Grammy, you have fought hard to regain your strength, and your faith must remain in the Lord, and He will be your peace. Grandma Charlotte and Grandma Penny, I could never mother the way that I do without such testaments of awesome love and commitment to family and Christ that you have shown to me, to my husband, and to my children. To the Grandpa Larry’s, your steadfast perserverance and absolute devotion to what your heart believes and lives for has without a doubt guided future generations to come for name of Jesus Christ. There is no greater legacy, a legacy I am from the deepest caverns of my heart truly grateful. To our brothers, Jeff and Jeff, and your wives, Tish and Stacey, and your beautiful families, I will eternally be thankful for the relationships we have with you, even from so far away. You open your homes and your lives to us, and there is no replacement on this earth for memories we have made, this crazy tribe of ours…Uncle Barry and Aunt Kay, you were our island of rest on our trip. From the showerin' post to the buffet, we so very much appreciate your kindness. Seeing Kara and her beautiful family was wonderful. Go Kara. Stay strong, Life is hard. Jesus is the biggest!!! Our friends, Danelle, Bink, Justine and Shawn, the Brown family, (we love those Brown girls) our lives and our children’s lives have been enriched from your friendships. My heart is full, my soul is warm…
As it time for me to close. More words would just cloud and complicate the message, I will end with this. I, among women, am most blessed. I am thankful, I am thoughtful, and I am content…
May His blessed peace remain with you always…
Tonya
